Resisting the ERT public TV closure in Greece: support the “Free the ERT archive” initiative

Find out more here!

“The initiative “Free ?R?’s archive” was taken by citizens who suggest an alternative to manage the Commons, public information included. It aims at the modification of the proprietary character of the Greek audiovisual archive owned by the public radio-television (?R?), which hinders the free and coequal access to a cultural treasure that greek citizens themselves have funded.

Our website created and maintained by activists of the Digital Liberation Network, columnists of the Greek P2P foundation network, individual citizens and bloggers. Nevertheless, it consists of an open discussion platform that aims at hosting an open dialogue for the perspectives of the cultural audiovisual treasure of the public radio-television (?R?). In an effort to initiate this open dialogue, the creators of this website have recently published a text of propositions, open to public consultation, objections and improvements.”
