egalitarianism, hierarchy, individualism, fatalism

My own preference would be:

egalitarianism, authoritarianism, individualism, collectivism

The biggest difference between the categories is my collectivism vs your fatalism. If we each added two more categories (you adding collectivism and consequentialism and I adding fatalism and consequentialism) we would have the same taxonomy with three matching pairs of opposites. (I also considered “science” or “determinism-with-uncertainty” as an opposite for your fatalism.)

Comparing with the “Political Compass” categories of opposites:

libertarianism, authoritarianism, left, right

We both already have authoritarianism. Libertarianism is roughly equivalent with our individualism. We could both add the left-right pair and have the same four sets of opposites. Three pairs could be graphed in 3 dimensions (and flattened to 2D using perspective) but I don’t know how four pairs could be graphed very nicely on a 2D surface.

Sorry if this too “aspie”.
