Really they just take the status quo as a given. And it’s without much justification. Then they tend to say anyone who disagrees with them holds “disempowering” viewpoints. Or it’s “you have limiting beliefs”. Yeah, but all beliefs are limiting by nature.

And it’s part of the reason I moved away from that milieu years ago. It’s less that I disagree with their “conscious capitalism” and more that their economic analysis is woefully shallow. Honestly, most of them put far more thought into what diet they should eat.

I’m amazed by the hypocrisy. They spend huge amounts of time thinking about the morality of a diet, the environmental issues, health impacts and so on. But almost nothing about capitalism versus other systems—much less comparing different forms of capitalism against each other.
