I agree with this, and I’d reify it as a game that self-scales self-reliant communities.

We might distinguish complicated from complex and equate it with contradictory. In that regard, complex systems are not necessarily complicated, so we might look to identify the smallest iterative form that will scale, but then expect the emerging system to be both complex and contradictory. This strategy might permit us to manage the system by tweaking the iterative component.
