“This is a keynote speech by researcher, engineer and thinker Vinay Gupta held at Camp Pixelache in Helsinki last Friday (2012). In it, Gupta uses projects he’s been personally involved with, such as the hexayurt and STAR-TIDES to show how peer production principles can be used to solve crises from the level of the individual up to the global level. He also discusses game theory and how cooperative networks are beginning to outcompete states and large corporations.”

Vimeo doesn’t buffer well at all on my computer — I usually give up on it after about five minutes of trying to watch a video stammering in hitches and starts. A shame — I would really have enjoyed seeing this.
