A tangential comment:
I don’t believe this story about the aging society. Old people are regarded as economic parasites. The problem is not the aging society, it is attitude towards work and redundancy. After 200 years of increasing industrial productivity and increasing income gap, our elderly should be afforded a dignified life.
The Bank of International Settlements, as a private and very partial organisation, is surely not a good authority to appeal to.
