The Occupy Exchange Fellowship Program

The Firedoglake Writers’ Foundation is starting a new project called Occupy Exchange: a fellowship program that will send skilled Occupiers on visits to other Occupy encampments, where they will share their knowledge on the subjects their hosts need help with the most. Afterwards, our fellows will write up their experiences and lessons-learned and share them with the rest of the world.

To potential other occupier friends and colleagues: Let me introduce myself in hopes of further interactions with you over our shared concerns.

I attended the Occupy Harvard Teach-in and joined the Sustainable Economy Working Group. I am also author of an e-book accessible via Amazon.com whose Appendix A is a manual for activists to help them “make a difference,” politically. The book discusses the Occupy Movement at length as best I could after visiting Occupy Boston’s encampment and following the Movement carefully through MSM, alternative media, et al.

I’d be happy to share the Appendix and other portions of the book with you at no cost. I’d like the book to become a living document that is transformed through feedback and interactivity of readers. We’ll see. The book’s title is: “A NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION: How “We the People” can truly “take back” our government”. What the title lacks is first things first. I recommend Occupy Politics first. For we can’t have a better government without a changed politics. What think you?
