I’m starting to blog on co-operativism at some other sites, and look forward to promoting this issue and its numerous dynamic articles. My own recent thesis was based on research of renewable energy community enterprises in Europe, including numerous co-operatives. Miguel Mendonça, Paul Gipes, and Sylvia Breukers have been doing some great work in renewable energy efforts, in particular.
Some additional references that might be of interest to readers include a 2009 article by Joyce Rothschild in American Behavioral Scientist,David Ellerman’s 1999 article in The Journal of Business Ethics, and Jessica G. Nembhard and Curtis Haynes’s 1999 article in Review of Black Political Economy.
William Greider did a great job in 2003 in his book, The Soul of Capitalism. The Grassroots and Economic Organizing site geo.coop is a longstanding site with a tremendous number of articles about related efforts and ideas. After all, Michael Moore didn’t stop with Farenheit 9/11, and by his most recent effort, he entered the co-operative dimension.
