Supply chains are morphing into economic ecosystems. It’s part of the current system evolving into something different.

They try to work off mutual coordination signals, but fail because they are still capitalist-greedy, so each node tries to grab more value for themselves at the expense of the ecosystem. We can do it much better, but a lot of the techniques of the advanced commercial ecosystems will still be useful and work even better with more cooperative nodes.
