thanks for your contribution and for looking for the commonality with some of the views of Stefan. If I may suggest this, let’s avoid having the kind of personalized confrontations that have created difficulties in other venues (I’m not implying that this is your fault or responsibility).

Conflicts of views will be inevitable, but let’s not seek to express them with hostility if not necessary.

Michel

Not by a violent act, not by a state act, but by a step by step buy-out or maybe by donation.”

As unusual as this is commong from Mr. “I don’t want to talk about better ways of earning a living inside capitalism” Meretz, who has often insisted that copyfarleft, venture communisms, IWW/anarcho-syndicalism, etc, is “wrong” because “There is no principal improvement of capitalism. Current capitalism as a self-organizing economy is by its logic the best capitalism we can get.”

However, it’s nice to see Stefan coming around and admitting that only mutual property can defeat private property. The “step by step” buy-out that he alludes to is exactly what is proposed by the venture communism project. The basic text “What is Venture Communism?” has been translated into German by Theophil Wonneberger, a PDF of which can be found here:

The English text and others can be found here:

It’s also nice to see Stafan thinking more dialecticaly, in terms of confrontation.

Cheers.
