Spanish study: collaborative culture in the entreprise

From Ernesto Van Peborgh:

El Viaje de Odiseo investigates the potential of social networking related to communication, knowledge management and collaborative work inside big corporations.

Since 2005, Odiseo has been creating collaborative platforms for companies and institutions to enable actors to engage and interact together in the design of solutions for a more sustainable future. Our mission is to build and manage intelligent networks, which, empowered with internet tools and technology, allow stakeholders to develop new models of socialization, productivity and business organization in order to effectively address our current planetary challenges.

We develop what we define as Knowledge Pool Resources, (Knowledge commons), the result of the collaborative work of a community that shares a common space which allows users to create, manage, store, process and distribute knowledge. These KPRs intend to become reservoirs of creativity and innovation that promote continuous learning.

The Book, La Cultura Collaborative en las Empresas, summarizes the lessons learnt during eight years of working alongside large businesses such as Natura Cosmeticos, Grupo Pão de Açucar, Techint, Telefonica, Tarjeta Naranja and Coca Cola and showcases the results of a study that was carried out in the year 2012 by a team of UADE (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa) faculty and El Viaje de Odiseo’s analysts.

We explain how the use of social networking within businesses improves access to information, empowers team work and sparks innovation. Its about the collaborative culture in a corporate environment, and about the organizational barriers that often hinder the adoption processes and about strategies to capitalize from its benefits.

The book not only provides implementation and management methodology but also includes a case study of the collaborative network strategically designed by El Viaje de Odiseo for Telefonica Argentina that connects over 11.000 employees.”
