each other and others have starved us
by reliance on price scarcity, what will
we do about it?

Those of us that know will act!

Food, Warmth which includes Shelter,
Water and Air as a commons.

This looks a serious start. thanks Jose.

I think the only way this could come about is with a USSR-style collapse of governmental structure. Of course, quite a few people see such a thing as pretty much inevitable, but still it’s a problem.

In the two recent pieces on the issue I try to develop the initial sketch of what could be the governance model for this grassroot-level collective actions institutions to grow, based on a tricentric mode of governance, where more space (and more support) is allowed for alternative food networks to develop, occupying areas and duties that were formerly performed either by states or by markets. It is not returning back to state-led food distributions, it is finding a more just and sustainable food system where we all value rightfully the different dimensions of food, and not just its commodity dimension.

In any case it is a work in progress, and I am constantly learning from the very initiators and collective groups that are currently changing the way we produce and eat food.
