From 11th to 14th of June, catch PireneLab in the resort of Espot

There’s Innovation at the top! From 11th to 14th of June, catch PireneLab in the mountains of the Pyrenees (Lerida province) – workshops to develop new projects in a rural environment. A meeting-point for citizens, companies and administration in order to innovate in new models, products and services, collectively for around 500 million users.

Working together, building and developing projects in the Pyrenees . In one word: innovating. For four whole days, the charming village of Espot, will host the founding event of PireneLab, an open project for users, researchers, companies and public institutions to look for new business models, services and solutions in the Pyreneean surroundings.

With its philosophy based on respect for the environment, PireneLab aims to establish a model of LivingLab ideally suited for zones of low demographic density such as the Mountains in which citizens and users become active participatants in the innovation process.

The objectives of the first stage, from 11 to 14 of June, apart from developing a model of Living Lab suited for mountainous areas, are to find meeting-points in order to share knowledge between areas of low and high demographic density , develop sustainable and adequate technology, formulate sustainable and adequate business-models for these regions and finally, impulse an ecosystem in accordance with technology and globalization without losing a sense of continuity with the past and the environment.

The organizers have opened communication mechanisms like PireneLab Forum, a Facebook page and a Twitter account from which ideas or projects can be presented.

During the PireneLab sessions, brought to you in association with Citilab, entrepreneurs will hold presentations, skill-classes brought to you by experts, micro training-sessions and a networking-area for you to make contacts.
