A short report from George Dafermos:

The commons and peer production occupy a strategic role in the (new) government programme that SYRIZA released today:

Indicatively, in the context of the productive transformation of the economy, SYRIZA commits itself to developing a productive model

“aimed at strengthening those organizational models of production making use of high technology in order to support peer production. The increase in the rate of peer production activities is one of our central growth goals. For that reason, we promote those models of production which are based on all kinds of common goods, both material and immaterial, with the aim of achieving:

– the greatest possible level of access to common goods

– the greatest possible satisfaction of the individual needs and desires of every worker” (p.101).
