Matthew, you obviously never heard of the collective action problem ? Public services are collectivized because they would not happen given differential interests of various fractions of people. Fracking is good for some, bad for others. Creating a cable car or public transport is necessary and good for some, not for others. This is why have collective functions. By giving up on collective taxation and given the rich a free ride, instead of taxing them (or de-propertizing them, which is another possible alternative), which re-neoliberal history shows is not a difficult thing to do at all, you are complicit in the destruction of capacity-building and moving closer to the anarcho-totalitarian proposals to commodify and propertize everything.

Governments are using all the money to pay back supposed ‘debt’. Isn’t there room in the debate for saying we can’t enforce tax without violating property and privacy rights, and that if people want roads and hospitals, they can probably organise those things locally if they had more money in their pockets.
New laws can not force the psychopathic elites to contribute to society, but they could reduce how much society contributes to the psychopaths. Therefore I demand the same freedoms as the rich – tax avoidance should be accessible to all people equally!
