I’m curious, what is your deepest value? I imagine it’s related to information flows. As I write in my book, I think of issues of knowledge as dealing with four levels: Whether – What – How – Why. These levels can help us distinguish data (know-whether) – information (know-what) – knowledge (know-how) – wisdom (know-why) accordingly. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIKW_Pyramid and Milan Zeleny. Most philosophers, including Plato, Aristotle and Kant, discuss at least three of these levels. I define Truth as that which is Not-Whether, that which cannot be hidden, that which ultimately is obvious. For we can consider Whether a cup is in a cupboard even if we can’t see it. But the Truth cannot be hidden! I’m curious then what it means for me to distinguish My Relative Truth and God’s Absolute Truth. I suppose it is to distinguish between “what can’t be hidden from me” and “what can’t be hidden from God”. I think that for genuine communication we need to play on the relation between our own personal truths and what we take to be the bigger truths. We can then communicate what it means for us to live within our limits and go beyond them and engage others. Pawel, I’m glad if you respond and we might continue here or elsewhere.

We live information era, we are knowledge (i.e. informed) and network (i.e. transmitting information) society. Is truth information? Or vice versa? Is it a source of all information present in the system? Is any kind of communication between Truth and my (or your or anybody’s) worldview possible?
