Open Everything and the P2P Foundation in Ireland

Open Everything Collaborative Economy Convergence

This week many of our regular bloggers here at the P2P Foundation will be in Ireland for a series of events titled “Open Everything a Collaborative Economy Convergence” including myself (Kevin), Stacco, Guy, Josef and others. The event has been organised as a partnership between the P2P Foundation, Cultivate the sustainability organisation and WeCreate, Ireland’s first Fab Lab, dedicated to the development of green technologies. The events are taking place in Dublin, Limerick and Cloughjordan Ecovillage.

Starting tomorrow Wednesday 10th at 2pm in Dublin at the Centre for Creative Practice on Pembroke street, Michel Bauwens, John Restakis and Janice Figuredo will join David Murphy to discuss strategies for transition to an economy based on Free and Open access to Knowledge. They will also touch on P2P dynamics, cooperation and the Commons, with reference to their work with the FLOK society project in Ecuador earlier this year. Thursday we will be at the Limerick Fab Lab to discuss open design and production. Friday we will be at the WeCreate Fab Lab in  Cloughjordan Ecovillage, revisiting Cooperative models. Saturday will be the Commons Symposium a series of facilitated sessions exploring opportunities for the development of the social knowledge economy here in Ireland.

We would love to have you join us over the coming days.
