I didn’t quite have the right words but I think this explains it very clearly. My concern is the lack of thought of foundational governance within the system as the miners essentially hold the power to change or not as seen with the hard fork decision with DAO issue. The miners are in no way representative and their motivations and often identities are not clear. While it comes out of an anarcho techno community that I generally would trust I think the issue of representation particularly of gender hasn’t been considered. The ‘one person one vote’ is a foundational value of democracy and while not perfect is a pretty good starting point to ensure representation and some level of accountability. How can we build this foundation into decentralised systems of organisation using models of reputation and consensus to try build this into the foundation of these new technologies which will potentially have a huge effect on formation of global systems of governance and culture exchange.
