It reminds me of what is happening in too many situations that aspire to grow interdisciplinary collaborations…and takes me back to why art based research with narrative and artistic inquiry have so much to offer in working through this entrenched problem. What you have shared is what we’ve identified as a “Touchstone” with some rather important insights towards possible next steps.

Maybe the context of these kind of knowledge sharing events needs a radical shift instead of repeating what isn’t work very well? Probably won’t surprise you that I think Art Based approaches could offer a great deal to foster the kind of deepening of interdisciplinary collaborations/inquiry required to move work in the commons forward.

Neal has helped highlight a very meaningful obstacle not only in commons development but community innovation initiatives as well.

I wonder if Neal would have any interest in helping to bring Independent Art & Media to the table to continuing exploring this?

Always a treat…

Best,
Yvette
