As a long time practicioner of collective intelligence, I like sticking to the scientific article coined by Peter Senge establishing the three conditions for have a CI (at least) in a group : social sensitivity, fair distribution of the talk, and proportion of women (see impact of feminine values, more present with women).
The speculative dimension of Bitcoin, and the lack of transparency associated to it made me feel uncomfortable when reading some parts of your post.
