I’m excited by the number of young people getting together here in Ireland under the banner ‘we’re not leaving’ and the simultaneous measures being made by a very worried EU parliament in the face of the persistent rise in nationalism and factionalism across an economically stressed Europe.

In England the community shares model is bring equity crowdfunding to the public in the creation of local cooperatives in everything from housing to the local pub and here in Ireland we are developing a model to do likewise amidst our efforts to make a social enterprise based cooperative franchise that is to be community supported, run and owned.
