in response to the post, i offer that the continuing refinement of the way humans do things is the only process we have .. what we call that process, capitalism or any other name, gets us lost in non-essentials

What kinds of consciousness emerge is dependent on what kinds of accounting practices are deployed. If the traditional, fragmented enterprise accounting framework continues to dominate, a very fragmented consciousness will “emerge.” Consciousness emerges from habits, habits emerge from practices, practices emerge from institutions.

If you want to change consciousness, you need to design viable institutions that will effect the kinds of change you want.
