Good that ECG is putting forward concrete, specific ideas for positive change. No doubt there will be questions about whether the ECG approach is too incrementalist, too tied to existing economic forms to be counted as an ideal. But as a political compromise, why not? The questions are then political: is it possible to get this kind of arrangement working in the current political context?

There will be skepticism about that, maybe as well, so to my mind it is good to multi-track: encourage ECG people try to get the politics going (against a backdrop of loss of democracy in favour of big corporate patronage) while others focus on making progress outside mainstream politics.

One of the challenges is for us all to be positive about each other, despite the differences in approach.
