Actually, Rob, the “Critique” part in the title was added, by the editorial team at the P2P Foundation blog. The original, published in the Telekommunisten website, was entitled “Inventing the present”. Maybe we should restore that title.

UBI as part of the welfare state is not a right-wing proposal designed to displace the welfare state, critiquing it as such is wrong.

And the programme suggested at the end here is the one that “Inventing The Future” works out in detail.

So the post isn’t a critique of the book, it’s more of an agreement with its front cover.
