The Scandinavian welfare state will fade away together with corporatism and consumerism, as it is a product of oil. Further the level of trust is shrinking in Norway, last time it was down one point and lower than Sweden and Denmark. Our welfare state is very much dependent upon trust, a heritage of pietism and haugianism. Our pietist spirit is fading rapidly, together with the decline of fossil fuels.
