Thomas Piketty has created a book that tries to find statistical evidence on the increasing income inequality in Society. He then goes on to conclude that we need to tax the wealth of rich people.

Any decent intellectual would separate the two arguments and argue on each one independently. Both Marvin Brown and Charles Andrews try to protect their theological truths by only arguing about the second argument which is without doubt the weakest.
