Five myths about Linux?

I would like to recommend the reading of this critique of Linux.

It goes extensively into five arguments.

1) Linux isn’t a unified product, so what you should compare with Microsoft are the specific distributions of it, and they are often not user-friendly

2) Linux is not secure because the credentials of the people working on it are not checked

3) The governance model, what the author calls a ‘commune where the few do the work for many’, doesn’t work

4) Working with Linux cheapens programmers because of the low cost

5) There is no free speech within the Linux community, dissenters get harassed.

An intensive discussion with almost 300 postings follows the main text.
