The 2015 proposed theme is “Social Innovation in the World of Work”. The theme has been identified through a consultative process following the 2014 Academy in Brazil. Over the coming months the proposed theme and several sub-topics will be discussed further with stakeholders and development partners in South Africa as well as with ILO global constituents to ensure that the content of the Academy is demand driven based on the challenges and needs in Africa and elsewhere. The South-South cooperation will remain a key aspect in this discussion and will be one of the main sub-topics of the 2015 Academy.

This Academy is donor-funded. A selection committee will identify a limited number of qualified participants based on their online application. To be admitted in the selection process, the application will need to reach us by 31 May 2015. Fellowships will cover training fees only. Participants will be responsible for organizing and paying for their own travel and visa costs as well as for their accommodation. This edition of the Academy will be carried in English, French and Portuguese.
