Video introduction to the Hangwa Forum

I participate in the Hangwa Forum, which is a kind of Davos Forum for western China, focused both on disaster recovery (in the context of the 2004 earthquake), and with the aim of creating international cooperation between China and the rest of the world. I am co-chair, along with a rotating Chinese colleague of the ICT Commission, (one of 8 commissions) with a purpose of developing a resilient industrial policy in the context of an ethical economy. It’s a very official event, but also a rich network with global and local participants. This video, which is a draft version of a more selected video to be produced later on, reflects the official style, and gets more interesting after a while by generously quoting various participants. The event took place in Beijing, in Chengdu, the western chinese ‘back-up’ capital of China in the event of future climate change disruptions, and in Dayang, the provincial city close to the original Sichuan earthquake zone.
