The Long Tail of PhD research: share your PhD Research with the P2P Foundation

One of the resource bases at the P2P Foundation is a directory of research into the open, participatory, and Commons-based paradigms. Coincidentally, we received this week 2 separate emails on research by students.

Miguel Afonso Caetano has written a thesis on tactical media , which we have had no time to read yet. And Chris Blunt has written, and it is a well-written thesis that stays free of academic jargon, about the social and political aspects of Web 2.0.

Most often, such research is forgotten after it is written, but in a specialized context such as the resource directories of the P2P Foundation, we belief that such research can have a second and third life, a phenomena similar to the Long Tail but applied to research.

So if you’re an academic or a PhD student, please send us your references, and we’ll be happy to include it in our research base. Non-Phd dissertations are fine as well. The preferred condition is that your research has been finalized, and that it is accessible through an URL.
