“Over at socialreporter, David Wilcox’s blog, there is an interesting list of items that could serve as an opening to any discussion on the driving factors behind social computing tools and technologies such as wikis, blogs and social networks.
* 45 provocative propositions about using social technology, By David Wilcox ? April 6, 2009
David writes that:
Over the past few months I’ve been working on and off with co-authors Andy Gibson, Amy Sample Ward, and Clive Holtham and Nigel Courtney of Cass Business School, on a book about how we can use social technologies for social benefit.
It’s going to be called Social by Social: a practical guide to using new technologies to deliver social impact and it should be published and distributed by NESTA next month.”
It’s a worthwhile post and highly recommended for some reflection time by those who need to sort out what’s working and not working in p2p spaces.
Hi Michel – thanks for mentioning the propositions … and I’m naturally delighted you find them worthwhile. There’s more detail here on how they were developed, with, of course, an invitation for people to remix their own http://socialreporter.com/?p=561
