An appeal from James Jones:
“I am currently developing an Open Source hardware project, called “CubeSpawn” to build small, light duty manufacturing equipment to help individuals make things locally. To get the project funded I have applied to a Pepsi sponsored Grant program. All you need to do to support the idea, is vote for it to get it into the top ten listings To vote, go here: http://www.refresheverything.com/cubespawn1 Voting will continue until February 28th, you are allowed to vote daily.”
More information:
To find out more about the project, go here or at Kickstarter.
A little update: (5 years later…) 🙂
While this has been a long, drawn out struggle, I am still working on the CubeSpawn project, and it is now coming along nicely!
CubeSpawn is meant to put the means of production in anyone’s hands, It is an:
Open Source, modular, FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System)
or, you could say: A robot that makes stuff automagically from templates – (think: downloadable machines!)
