Recently was over at the Chaos Communication Conference site which is a hacker convention held for 20 odd years in Germany! This year’s keynote speaker was web celeb, Joi Ito, who delivers a fascinating talk on the importance of open networks. Select the keynote lecture and fast foward with the slider until joi begins his speech. It’s the 3rd row down on the right-hand side. Note also other interesting lectures on offer.

link here. (opens in windows media player so might not work for macs)
Separate Joi Ito podcast on his own history here (it starts in german but soon changes to english) which is also of worthy note.
The link to the conference main page is here.
