Exergesis in Greece

What is going on in Greece is more than a riot; it’s an exergesis.

The murder of a 15 years old student by two policemen gave the handle after a night of rage for days of revolt. An argument amongst a group of anarchists, who were absolutely unarmed, with two policemen left the boy dead on the ground, killed in cold blood. Eyewitnesses and videos confirmed the aforementioned incident.

What follows is similar to what took place in LA or in Bristol. In the 70s and 80s students’ riots were led by ideology; now the ideology is dead.  They have been betrayed not only by their state but also by ideologies. What is happening now is an exergesis that destroys what had been already destroyed. While in the North West people are talking about participation, cooperation, sharing and creation, we, young Greek people, experience corruption, unemployment, poverty, and recently death.

Rage, rage, rage. May we transform it into creation…

After all, it’s an indignation exergesis.

Let’s smother the state with colorful flowers instead of blind fire.
