Reblogged from the excellent Mashable blog, an excerpt on a new ‘controlled identity’ service for the internet:

“Naymz is a new online identity service along the lines of ClaimID. The idea is that you can create an accurate profile of yourself and pay Naymz for top placement on the search engines – in fact, the Premium account will get your Naymz profile listed at the top of the sponsored results on Yahoo, MSN, Ask and AOL Search. You can use the profile page to link to your Flickr photos, your LinkedIn page, your Yahoo profile, your YouTube videos, your MySpace/Friendster profile, your del.icio.us links or any site you wish. You can also write a short bio, and allow others to contact you through the site without exposing your email address.”
