This wiki is designed to help us set-up and coordinate activities surrounding ChangeCamp Edmonton. Edmonton is in part known as a “government” town so ChangeCamp Edmonton is perfectly suited for us. Talk to your networks within government and let them know how they can get involved.
Via email, Mark Kuznicki, originator of ChangeCamp suggests discussing the following fundamental questions as a place to begin.
1. What government levels and areas are we targeting? – Momentum can be generated at the provincial level initially, however, certainly federal folks are welcomed as well.
2. What are the principles of ChangeCamp that make it tick? ChangeCamp Edmonton should look to encourage environment of learning, sharing and exploring innovative solutions – everyone has the power to be a change agent.
3. Why are we attracted to the idea of ChangeCamp? – There is a need for education, not only regarding social media itself but also regarding the impact social media generates on government departments. ChangeCamp Edmonton will provide a strong opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion at the citizen level while in a safe environment.
4. What are our goals and values? Ignite a new conversation about what it means to be in government today, what it means to be a Canadian citizen, what it means to use new technologies and processes that enable discussion, exchange of ideas and debate.
