Are we all Greeks?

Numerous protests have been taking place across Europe and USA, expressing solidarity feelings for the Greek people. “We are all Greeks” is the main slogan while many ask to get the Greek citizenship for symbolic purposes. I would like to cite two interesting, although -especially the second one- controversial Guardian articles (judging from the discussion that follows in the comments section) concerning the “we are all Greeks” idea in terms of living in the end (?) times of a rotten system:
[1] Greece’s wartime resistance hero denounces EU-backed cuts

[2] Greece shows us how to protest against a failed system

After all, are we really all Greeks? Hard to tell for sure. To speak the truth for myself, I am sure that I am :-)
